A conceptual route through TNFR

TNFR studies how a declared structure changes, what makes it an identifiable organization, and what information is needed to predict its interactions. Its mathematical models make those questions precise. The engine implements particular laws and actions with explicit domains; the research asks which conclusions follow and which additional premises remain necessary.

This chapter is a reading guide to existing foundations, not another definition registry or a replacement for their proofs. Canonical means maintained with a stated scope; it does not mean uniquely derived or empirically confirmed. The glossary owns concept cards and their classification. The research program owns tasks.

1. Structure, state and identity

An engine model starts with constituents and relations. The graph says which constituents are available and how they may interact. An organized NFR also needs a criterion for what counts as the same organization, which changes it admits, and on what interval that criterion holds. A graph node, a newly created child and an acquired organization are different claims.

The working questions have distinct owners:

Question Meaning in a declared model Definition owner
What can change? Form x=EPI, represented in a specified chart; the current scalar engine admits signed real form. Form and state
What determines its rate? Pressure p=DeltaNFR, capacity nu_f, the clock and any separately supplied input. Parameter foundations
What else does evolution consume? Phase, support, conductance, boundary state, history and event context, according to the actual law. Reference S, relation foundations
What makes an organization identifiable? A domain and identity/equivalence criterion, preparation and a claimed retention or response interval; formation additionally needs initial absence and entry. Formation, maintenance and composition
What can a smaller description predict? The declared observations, provided discarded information cannot change their predicted evolution or is retained through derived memory. Collective state, memory

State is sufficient for a specified prediction and law. A deterministic prediction also needs an admitted continuation: existence and uniqueness, a valid domain for the claimed interval, and specified event behavior. Merely listing complete rows does not establish these properties; the existence and integration distinctions retain that obligation. An algebraically refreshed pressure p=P(state) need not be an independent coordinate. Stored pressure or history consumed by an operator may have to be retained. A triad snapshot therefore need not be a complete runtime checkpoint. Holding a quantity fixed is a model premise, not permission to omit a quantity whose future law or event reads it.

Zero form is a value of the form coordinate; it does not delete a constituent. Primitive phase can remain relevant there. A regional angle derived from form can instead be undefined at zero regional amplitude. Those two kinds of phase have separate state admissions.

2. What the nodal row supplies

On an unforced continuous segment, in a declared chart and clock,

\[ \dot x=\nu_f p. \]

This relates pressure to the instantaneous change of form. Capacity is nonnegative. With units [nu_f]=T^-1 and [x]=X, pressure has units X; in general [p]=[x]/([nu_f][t]). Zero capacity suppresses this form row. Neither a phase law nor an operator schedule follows from that statement.

To obtain a prediction, supply pressure independently and specify every other consumed evolution row, support change, input and event. For example, held pressure and pressure recomputed from the changing state are different laws. The nodal and integrated identities retain their unforced, chart and event assumptions. A separately supplied input gives x_dot=nu_f*p+Gamma; hybrid events add their actual jumps.

Interaction requires actual dependence of one constituent's evolution on another's state or history. Conductance controls transport; metric length controls distance-based observations. Their values need not coincide. Birth metadata and a plotted edge do not establish a consumed interaction law. Read the relation owner before interpreting support, zero conductance, effective influence or new links.

3. Read each claim at its stated strength

The following are kinds of statements, not a second status registry. The glossary's basis, emergence and status fields classify concepts; the proof or model owner determines the evidence for each specific claim.

Kind of statement Example in this repository What the statement establishes
Working definition or premise Signed form chart; circular primitive phase; declared NFR identity The meaning and admitted domain being investigated; revisable premises remain visible.
Supplied constitutive law A particular pressure map, phase equation or event selector A model whose consequences can be evaluated; uniqueness needs an independent argument.
Derived identity Integrating the nodal row on a fixed chart without jumps A consequence of the stated row and integration assumptions.
Conditional theorem Decay of fixed reciprocal pure-EPI diffusion with positive held capacities A conclusion on its proved domain, including its exclusions.
Represented-coefficient certificate A bound for exactly interpreted materialized coefficients A claim about the admitted numerical representation and arithmetic budget.
Finite computational evidence A retained birth, contact or finite continuation The evaluated source, preparation, interval and protocol; scope does not expand with a successful run.
Execution policy or diagnostic A configured event selector, grammar threshold or tetrad reading Implemented selection, admission or observation; additional arguments are needed for stability and occurrence.
Open hypothesis A uniquely selected fundamental law, autonomous hierarchy or physical identification A question with missing premises or discriminating evidence.

Definitions make a theorem meaningful; they do not prove it. Implementation tests check behavior under their cases; they do not independently establish a theorem or an empirical interpretation. Valid exclusions and counterexamples are part of the theory's constraints. They remain useful when a different model admits a positive result.

4. How the foundations depend on one another

Read each row from premises to consequence to use. These are dependencies of justification, not dynamical graph edges: form and phase can be mutually coupled in a complete law. This map covers the core reading route. The full theory-to-execution map locates the remaining model-specific studies.

Premises to check Consequence and proof owner Downstream use and limit
Declared chart, clock, complete pressure/input/event accounting Nodal integration Form change and zero-capacity interpretation; the row alone gives no complete future law.
Fixed connected symmetric conductance, positive held capacity, pure-EPI pressure Diffusion theorem Weighted mean and decay; other pressure channels, changing capacity and events require new accounting.
Fine law, observation map, realizable domain and projectability conditions Reference D An exact collective observation on its admitted interfaces/capacities; arbitrary partitions need not close.
Declared linear fine flow, projection, hidden initialization and coupling Derived EPI memory Retained history can predict an observation after elimination; omitting the hidden source generally changes that response.
Equal diagnostics with different consumed state Dynamical non-reconstruction Limits of tetrad-only prediction; a diagnostic match cannot certify state equivalence.
Actual targets, event domain, retained history/context and successor law Collective operator descent A word on an organization requires descent at each prefix; continuous closure alone is insufficient.
Identity, declared lifetime/continued response and controls; initial absence and entry when formation is claimed Organization contract Admission of formation or maintenance; support creation alone establishes neither.
The retained conservative 21-node source and its actual event continuations Parent birth, contact, retention Existing hierarchy evidence for a possible collective identity study; no transfer of dissipation from another source.
The separate dissipative 45-node source, matched initialization, unit capacities and no events Symmetric-core tracking A bounded approximate prediction on that domain; neither universal reduced state nor a hybrid-word theorem.

Native relational flow, the normalized-sine comparison, held-pressure integration and general operator words are distinct execution paths. Before transferring a result, match the complete rows, support, capacities, clock, preparation, observations and event assumptions. Equal equilibria or equal tangents do not imply equal nonlinear response.

The following implementation routes are selected checks for this guide, not additional definitions. Open the named test for its exact cases and scope.

Registered structural actions Operator contracts Contract registry checks; full event obligations

5. Progressive examples from existing models

These are analytic illustrations of the admitted rows and existing results. They add no empirical evidence, new producer or claim of autonomous formation. Time below is the declared structural clock.

A. One form coordinate under held pressure

Choose a fixed scalar chart, x(0)=1, held pressure p=2, capacity nu_f=1/2, no input and no events. Hold phase and support fixed. In the chosen units, x_dot=1, so x(t)=1+t. This is direct substitution into the integrated nodal identity. The pressure was supplied; the calculation does not derive why it has that value or stays constant.

Setting capacity to zero in this same model gives x(t)=1. Stored form and pressure still exist. If a different model evolves phase or supplies Gamma, zero capacity alone no longer freezes the complete state.

B. Two constituents that actually interact

Use two nodes joined by reciprocal unit conductance, unit held capacities, pure-EPI pressure, held unused phase, no input and no events. This is the two-node case of the diffusion theorem:

\[ p_1=x_2-x_1,\quad p_2=x_1-x_2,\qquad \dot x_1=p_1,\quad\dot x_2=p_2. \]

With x(0)=(1,-1), the existing closed-form solution is

\[ x_1(t)=e^{-2t},\qquad x_2(t)=-e^{-2t}. \]

Each constituent changes because its neighbor differs from it. Their mean stays zero while their contrast decays. This demonstrates conditional interaction and relaxation. It supplies no general phase synchronization, new-node creation or organized-identity formation result.

C. A useful summary can still discard a needed response

Compare B with initial state (0,0) under the same law. Both means start at zero and stay zero. The mean is therefore a closed observable in this example. Yet it cannot predict the individual forms: B retains a decaying contrast while (0,0) remains stationary. For those predictions, retain the contrast as well as the mean.

This separates loss of information from failure of closure. The memory owner gives stronger examples where the same observed initial state has different observed derivatives, so the observation itself needs hidden state or memory. On its unit five-node path, observe the mean a of the two endpoints and the mean b of the three interior nodes. With unit held capacities and pure-EPI pressure, the fine states A=(0,1,1,1,0) and B=(0,0,3,0,0) both give (a,b)=(0,1), but their observed derivatives are respectively (1,-1/3) and (0,0). The arrangement hidden inside each group changes the group's next response. This existing example shows why those two means do not close on their own. The tetrad counterexamples likewise prevent treating diagnostic equality as complete predictive equality.

D. An operator changes the subsequent problem

Silence (SHA) attenuates capacity under its admitted execution contract. If an admitted reset multiplies the capacity in A by a factor a, with 0<a<1, and the successor law keeps the same held pressure, the subsequent form rate becomes a times its previous rate. It is slower, not zero. The exact reset, parameters and secondary effects belong to the operator mechanism audit.

For several nodes, changing only some capacities can change relative rates and the weighted mean used by a theorem. Recheck the successor law. A grammar-admitted event does not prove that the old identity is maintained. Other actions may consume histories, modify form/phase/pressure, create children or propose links. Their names alone do not determine their full effects or why they occur.

E. A larger graph poses a new identity question

The retained parent-child studies contain an actual THOL birth, a committed Coupling event and a finite continuation after Silence. Those records establish their scoped event and retention results. To call the composition a newly formed organization, define what relational property is initially absent, when it is acquired, how long it persists and what continued response tests it. An unavailable pre-birth observation cannot count as measured absence.

The later isolated descendant illustrates a further boundary: genealogy does not give it acquired history or contact. A full-state description might support an organized identity even when no smaller autonomous description works. The retained candidate keeps this scientific question available without making it an active evaluation.

6. From understanding to a bounded research question

Start with the desired claim and locate its row in the dependency map. Read the definition owner, complete law and proof conditions before interpreting the implementation. State the missing premise or discriminating observation; then compare its scientific value with other unresolved dependencies.

The program's F1-F4 admission owns that process, and its current task is the continuation point for subsequent sessions. This guide supplies the reading route; it creates no independent research queue.
